Coal Miner's Lamp
This small tallow (rendered animal fat) lamp has a hook on the back that attaches to a miner's cap or headband. The top flips open to fill the lamp with fuel and wicks. RHS 1981.034.001

Denny-Renton Clay and Coal Company Brick
The Denny-Renton Clay and Coal Company was founded in 1889 by a group of investors including Daniel Denny. This is an example of a red brick that the company gave school children when they were touring. RHS 1980.999.0182

1931 Calendar from "The Emporium"
A 1931 advertising calendar issued by the store "The Emporium" in Renton. Calendars were given as gifts to loyal customers in the early half of the 1900s. RHS 1998.115.007
